Lord Richard Rogers accompanied by his wife Lady Ruth Rogers, receives the "Freedom of the City of London" on February 7th, 2014 at the Guildhall in London in recognition of his contribution to architecture and urbanism. Lord Rogers is a world famous architect of many buildings, including Centre Pompidou, the Millennium Dome and Lloyd's of London. He has recently called for a "severe" new tax on empty homes in London as a solution to wealthy buyers leaving homes vacant and contributing to the housing shortage.
